Don't Do These Three Things When Moving

Many people consider moving as one of the toughest challenges faced by man. While this is true, it is a mistake to automatically assume that moving is going to be an unpleasant experience. It does take a lot of time and effort, but if you know what the common pitfalls are, it will be easy to find steps to avoid them. It is in this manner that you can make moving less stressful and awful. Here are 3 things you need to make sure you DON'T do when you start to move.
Don't #1: Put off the tasks till tomorrow
You need several weeks to plan and prepare for a move. Don't be overwhelmed with the number of tasks you need to finish. Collect packing supplies and start packing as soon as possible. This allows you to gradually reduce the burden of moving as the big day approaches.
Don't #2: Label boxes ‘miscellaneous'
If you are not sure of the item's category, consider writing the room it belongs to. Better yet, specifically write the box's contents so you don't go rummaging through piles of boxes when you need something. For instance, if you have art supplies, label the box ‘art supplies - attic'.
Don't #3: Mix necessities with other boxes
Your necessity boxes must be kept accessible at all times. Place them in your car so you can be ready in case of delays brought about by weather or car problems.
